Esme Booth - Olympic Rower
Esme Booth, recent Olympic silver medal winner for rowing, saved the evening at Septembers meeting of Long Marston Ladies, as Riding for the Disabled, for the second time, failed to appear.
Esme arrived in her Olympic track suit along with her silver medal, which she generously allowed to be passed around the awe struck ladies.
She spoke about what happens behind the scenes at the Olympic Games, her training regime and the food she has to consume to maintain her health.
The raffle went ahead with a beauty hamper and food hamper. A few suggestions of the charity to support this year, took a vote and The Dementia Cafe in Alcester received £220 from the evening.
Esme will visit LML again with "One Year On" next year.
